Iron Grill Japanese Express in Mooresville

I recently visited this place for our team lunch , the food was just amazing ! The cost is also a bit on the moderate side ...Would definitely recommend this restaurant to others..

Very disappointed... stopped taking calls 20 mins before close. Could have common courtesy to answer and explain they can't take new orders. Should take orders up until closing time like every other restaurant in the world. Shiki ended up being better anyway!

Made to order, not too long a wait. Very tasty! Ordered with hibachi vegetables. Filling meal! Came to Mooresville for a visit and got it two nites in a row.

The portions are huge, the prices are great for what you get, and the food has been superb everytime I have been. My favorite lunch spot.

It was great very tasty! I got shrimp, chicken and steak with came with fried rice , mushrooms, broccoli and sweet potato or it may have been sweet carrots. I ate it all!

The food is good. Cheaper cuts but they season them well so it's good. I must admit that the prices (i.e. steak and shrimp combo) are priced as if the location were a nicer sit down-type. Getting to-go food and having the bag (not even just the to-go container but the actual bag) filled with liquids isn't exactly expected when paying $15 a meal. It seems like the locale would be even busier were the prices set for what the business is/does. I'd certainly go more than once if so.

Most of the menu is hibachi ot teriyaki items. The food is affordable, taste great, portions are large, staff is friendly, and orders are fulfilled quickly.

The Food was decent except the chicken quality and watered down shrimp sauce; however, the real issue here is the owner, short Asian man behind the counter. This guy has the most miserable personality. Restaurant owner I hope you read this. Get your life together and learn communication skills. Your business could do so much better if you mastered a pleasant attitude. Here in America customer satisfaction comes first, and your demeanor squashes that.

We love this place!

The food is still great but lately the shrimp sauce is very “watered down” and they still charge for extra. The owner is still rude, you would think he would be a little more appreciative of loyal customers.

Frequent this place because I love the shrimp sauce. Best in town.

Quick take out style Japanese. No frills just good food. The rice is awesome! The scallops were even pretty good, which is impressive for a take out joint. Good prices, all ways a win

Great food prepared well, not too fast or tasty. Would get 5 starts, but... Please, anything but Styrofoam.

A nice, calm place, big dishes for a fair price. Hibachi dishes are splendid, they always serve you quickly and professionally, even if you visit them a few minutes until they are closed.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Food had funny taste and wasn’t priced comparable to portion. Don’t waste your time or money.

Good, quick Japanese food, not much to say, beside if you have a soy allergy just beware that everything is cooked in soy sauce.

They do hibachi very well, especially given how quick they get your food ready. One thing I like is they ask you how you want your steak done. Not many places do, you just get your steak tips how they do it. Medium rare is nice and tender @ Iron Grill. They have an awesome t-shirt for sale on the wall but every size except Medium is sold out :( get more large guys !

The food tastes great, but portions are small and watered down shrimp sauce tastes terrible.

Beware of the cost of your meal using your bank card. My total was $12.54 for take out. The owner never mention any fees when paying for my meal. Checking my bank statement that evening and the Iron Grill Japanese Express charge my account $15.05. An extra $2.51 was taking out of my account. I wonder how many other customers have been charge extra using their bank account.

The food and the prices are fantastic. I gave the restaurant 4 stars instead of 5 because it is not a super visually pleasing establishment, and my main complaint is that the wait time is usually somewhat long. If you're in a hurry I would say eat somewhere see, but otherwise it is totally worth it. p.s. the carrots are VERY sweet, they taste like candy

Such a tasty food with very large portion. It was delicious. I had visit them almost 3rd time with my family. Their shrimp, steak chicken were very tasty

We were just looking for lunch coming from Florida. This place had amazing food & lot's of it!! Customers were just filing in...We Highly recommend, we had Hibachi steak & Shrimp, Chicken with noodles, & Hibachi Shrimp & Broccoli. The Glazed Carrots, Yum!!

Pay a highschool kid $7.25 to run the register and answer the phone, keep the grumpy owner away from the customers, and watch your sales increase by 50%. I have never in my life seen an owner so mad that your coming in to give him money! I thought he was joking! He wasn’t!

I ordered 3 meals with jumbo shrimp. I should have checked my orders before I got home. The shrimp were as small as popcorn shrimp & very much over cooked as the chicken was. I was very disappointed. Don’t think I’ll be going back.

I've been to many Japanese Express restaurants in Mooresville, Concord, Kannapolis, and Mount Pleasant, and this one is my favorite. Their steak and chicken is so good! I only wish the man taking orders would smile sometimes. He always seems very unhappy. Doesn't he realize his food is the best around??? :)
